Anti-Capitalism Love Note

There are too many people in this world nowadays. It’s normal then that there is so much competition for everything and in every field. I mean you study for years, your parents work their asses off for paying your tuition fees, you go to live in another city because that’s where you are supposed to receive knowledge from top notch professors, the best of the best, you eat plain spaghetti all the time and work part time to support all the expenses and your extras like parties and booze that of course belong to this period of life.

One day you graduate, get your certificate, your parents and relatives celebrate you and you feel that you have finally grown up. You became an adult. So time to stop the kid life and get some serious money, an interesting job and some model for girlfriend as they’ll all admire you with your charismatic profession. Therefore, the day after that same day you open up your computer browser, point it on google and start looking for a real job, feeling confident that your qualifications will get you through a very nice position in some extremely coveted company. After one hour you realize that in your city there are not so many available positions as you would expect, and only few of them correspond to your qualification. After two hours you went through half of those and discovered that more than half of those require experience that you don’t and can’t have yet. After 3 hours you find out that the job positions left have minimum wages and thousands of applicants, or they are not paid internship. So you decide, after only 3 hours from your graduation celebration, final step of a study process lasted years, to leave the house and finally start a proficuous, real, solid, stable and enviable career as alcoholic.

My answer to this is to directly skip the academic part, all the sacrifices made by yourself and your parents to support your future, all the violence on your brain in order to remember why Machiavelli is important for the development of the modern concept of society or how to say “can I please have gluten free noodles and a vegan appetizer for my collegue?” in some strange South east asian dialect and become straight alcoholic, therefore skipping exploiting internships and exhausting work selections. I say fuck the capitalist system, red wine works way better.
